College Track

Renovation and seismic upgrade of an unreinforced masonry building in the Bayview District of San Francisco to create the new flagship center for College Track, a non-profit organization that works with students from underprivileged communities with the goal of helping them graduate from college. In order to create more program space in the facility, the existing steel roof trusses were re-configured to allow elevator access to the mezzanine level. Perimeter windows that had been in-filled with plaster and brick were re-opened and replaced with new windows, allowing the building to be flooded with natural light.
